Life Size model of the Bride, as the Wedding Cake!
This might be one of the coolest wedding cake ever featured on this website. The cool thing is, it was life size model of Bride as the Wedding Cake!
This wonderful cake was made for the marriage of the American Couple Chidi Ogbuta and Innocent . This six layered, five feet tall wedding cake is made up of butterscotch and polymer clay and was the exact replica of the Bride Chidi in her wedding dress.
“Growing up I have always wanted a doll made in my likeness,” said Chidi , the 35 year old bride and the mother or four children. “I asked my Husband that I wanted a life-size cake look exactly like me – as I would look on the wedding day, he agreed with out any reservations” She added.
It took almost 5 weeks to create the cake of Chidi, initially she wanted to make a cake made of both she and Innocent, but the bakers dint have enough time to create the “Fully Edible Cakes” with in the time frame.
The body of the ‘Bride cake’ made up of butterscotch and the rest, head and arms made from polymer clay. The wedding was attended by more than 500 guests and even after everyone dished it out there was still plenty of cake left.
But when you start cutting the cake and eating it, it’s like you’re cutting HER up and eating HER up! Cool but the concept needs a bit of thinking, it may not be in good taste for everyone, even the guests…

That’s pretty cool, but must have been very expensive considering the cost of polymer clay D: (I buy FIMO clay for $5/small 75g pack)

I think the cake is beautiful and origional…everyone else should stop hating…There’s nothing tacky about it at all…..It doesn’t matter if she got the money now or not…that’s what she wanted for her special day….and as you can see she was well pleased with it!!!!
while i would never do that myself for my own wedding cake it made her happy and her hubby didnt mind so good for them its their day if it makes them happy and its not hurting anyone let them do it and leave the girls dress alone again her choice not yours

If that is wat she has ever wanted, then she got it from her darling husband. d fact that she got her dream cake means the husband can afford it. Even if it closed their account, hw does it affect u? Wat more can be done for a wife who has waited so long for a wedn,after 4 kids. hw many of u can wait 2 have a wedn after 4 kids? U can keep the answer to yourself?

I love the cake looks almost like the bride!! The cake people did an awesome job!! but expensive ..
If she likes that cake then so be it, it’s her wedding and that’s all that matters. If you don’t have something nice to comment about, then keep it to yourself. It’s rude and uncalled for.

This dress is horrible, her hair is ghetto as hell and her husband is a loser for supporting this dumb ass inspiration of hers…. UTTERLY , AND HORRIBLY, A DAMN MESS!!!!
I think it was a bit over the top. I think the baker did a good job. The baker really did not want to do this cake, which I don’t blame them. The color they picked or created for her skin was just bad…. bad….bad… they should have spent more time on the color. We know the bride is black, but damn…Well who cares it’s not my wedding nor my bill so if that is what they wanted then it is what it is.

The lookalike cake is an interesting idea and I hope that guests were given some to take home. It would be a shame to waste all that cake.

So what she had 4 children prior to her marriage. She now has a man who loves her (maybe he’s the father of the kids, maybe she’s a widow) and her name was given at birth so your remarks are pointless. You do your wedding your way and let others do it their way.
You all are so judgemental. Can you read “New Bride?” She was renewing her vows after being married for 10 years and apparently she has the money for the cake.
